1.toad for oracle(i used this but you can use any of the product)
2.oracle client 32-bit (here if your system is 64-bit then first install oracle client 32-bit then 64-bit)
here i am using oracle client 32-bit.
3. we need Database 11g Express Edition
1. STEP-1
To download free version of toad go to
http://toadworld.com/Default.aspx
2. then click on Download button
3. click on freeware or trial version .then you will get this
4. click on 32-bit installer
after click you will get this page
5. fill your email address,roles describe you and your age
and click on submit button. after clicking submit button your downloading will be started.
6. install your software.
7.after installation when you double click on toad you will get a pop up message that (orcle client is not here or to connect to orcle client is must).
8. so our next step is download orcle client 32-bit.
2. STEP-2
1. go to oracle.com(create your account here)
2. move the cursor to download button
3.then click on oracle instant client
4. after clicking you will get
5. then click on instant client for microsoft window 32-bit. you will get
6. click on accept user agreement and after that click on instantclient-basic-nt-11.2.0.3.0.zip(as shown in above figure).
7. download will start after taking your username and password
8. after download extract instant client in C DRIVE
in my computer i have extracted oracle client in c drive as shown
9. our next step is to set the path of instant client .
10. for this got to my computer properties and for window 8 (go to pc info)
11. then click on advanced system setting as shown
12. when you click on advanced system setting you will get system properties pop-up box
13. that system propeties click on advanced tab
14. and in advanced tab click on environment variables(as shown)
14. when you click environment variable
here under system variable --- go to path
15. then click on edit
16. and paste the instant client path
my instant client path is
17. copy this path and then go to environment variable and paste in path ,after pasting drop semicolon at end
as shown
18. then click ok button
19. again go to toad and open toad it will not ask for oracle client.
3. STEP-3
20. go to oracle.com
21. then click on download
22. then scroll down go to database section and click on database 11g express edition
23. now accept license and click on
 | Oracle Database Express Edition 11g Release 2 for Windows x32 then you are redirected to give your username and password .then your downloading will start 24. after download install oracle database express edition it will ask user and password write user- system password - system you can use any user and password and this user and password we will use latter it will extraxt in "C DRIVE" in my computer after extracting database express edition 11 g , it will extraxted in "c drive " with name oracle exe.  25. now click on oraclexe then "app" then click on "oracle" then "product" then click "11.2.0" then "server" 26. in server go to "network" then click on "admin". 27. the whole path describe as -- C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\11.2.0\server\network\ADMIN 28. here you will get two files 1. tnsnames.ora 2.sqlnet.ora 29.copy both files  30. after copying both files go to instant client and paste both files i.e tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora as shown  31. hurray we have completed our process for installation of toad 32. go to toad and double click on it you will get this screen  33. here you see in tnsname.ora and sqlnet.ora are green tick 34. go to tns and select XE 35. provide the user/schema and password your user/schema and password are same password that you created while installation of Oracle Database Express Edition 11g Release 2 for Windows x32 in my case my user/schema - system password is - system 36. after providing user and password ,click on connect button 37. hurray our toad started. you will get this interface . enjoy and if you have any problem regarding installation please comment or mail me  |
